National Volunteer Week 2021!

.

April 18-24, 2021, is National Volunteer Week. The theme for 2021 is The Value of One, The Power of Many. During this week, we will celebrate the work of millions of volunteers across Canada. We will recognize them, thank them, and raise awareness of the individuals who make a difference in our lives by creating a better place for all of us.
This past year, we have seen extraordinary kindness and selflessness from individuals who have supported not only their family, friends, and neighbours, but also strangers. This year we pay tribute and recognize the value of the care and compassion that we show one another. We recognize the power of people and organizations working together during these unprecedented times.
The Ukrainian Canadian Congress is grateful to our community volunteers who made sure that our neighbours, seniors, and most vulnerable were not alone during these trying times.
We thank our youth and student organizations for visiting long-term care homes, singing, dancing, to bring happiness and joy to our seniors and the front-line workers taking care of them.
We thank all those volunteers who generously give their time and passion to make a difference in our community.
And, of course, we thank our volunteer leaders and board members for ensuring our organization provides help to our community and continues to lead us towards a bright future.
